Issue 2 is about giving communities “local control” about whether to have a casino.

TRUTH:

Issue 2 is really about protecting the business interests of out-of-state billionaires across state lines – there’s nothing local about that. In fact, Issue 2 would immediately repeal and revoke an existing Arkansas casino license, taking away something Arkansans voted for in 2018 and was already issued by the Arkansas Racing Commission. And if a local community wanted a casino in the future, we would have to amend the Arkansas Constitution again — through another statewide vote — before anyone could hold a vote to consider it.
